September project on the needles

I have finally started on my September project. My project was to knit something with pre yarn. A shawl is on the needles.
Someone asked what a pre yarn is. It`s when the wool is at a stage between carding and spinning. The pre yarn can be used for knitting or decorative felting. I´t can be knitted alone or together with spun yarn. The pre yarn is very very soft, and I love it. There is probably another word for it in English. Please tell me which one. Now I have to hurry to get done before september 30.
Good luck with your projects everyone.

Some progress on my September project

My Clapotis is growing and the first stitches are dropped!! The first drop was thrilling, and for each time I do it I check 100 times that it is the right stitch! So far it is looking kind of strange I think, but I hope for the best, and rely on the blocking!
A question for you all; Do you know the word maby??? I do, but my dictionary don't.... So I think maby I will change to maybe - is that more easy to understand? So to all of you that have seen the word (and will see it in the future, bad habit is not easy to change...) just think of the word maybe and then you get it right!!!
We have in these days a big discussion in a Norwegian knitting forum whether to have a mulitilanguage blog (Norwegian/English) when the English are not fluid... Many people means that it just looks silly and don't do it because they will have a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes.... I think - don't be so pompous - just do it and make a lot of foreign friends! It is fun!!
You are all capable to ask if you don't understand me - aren't you? Yes, I am sure you are!!!

My August project is finished!!

Finally, my first shawl ever is finished! For the first time I have knitted from a pattern with a diagram and it has taken a looong time! But thank's to this KAL I managed to pull myself together and complete it. It has actually been finished for a week or so, but I thought it looked a bit dull, and after I had been watching it for a while I frogged(is that the right word?) some rounds and casted off much more loosely. Then it got a "collar", and now I am much more satisfied with it. By the way: is it ok if I change my October post to mittens instead of socks?? I have ordered a pattern of some lovely mittens, and I have never knitted mittens before...
Now it is off to start the September project; learn how to do shadow knitting - I am SO looking forward to it!

LOL!
I cast on for the Flower Basket Shawl and got the first repeat done.

And I have made progress on the prayer shawl I am knitting for an internet friend dealing with cancer.
