beaded September project... in progress

it will be touch and go as to whether I finish...I'm through about 1/4 of the pattern now (15" - 45" or so to go). Really liking it so far, though - although pushing the beads along is a bit of a hassle (River Rock scarf from NSFY...)

For more info, see the blog, post dated 24 September (the length has doubled since then).

Also: a wee plug for another unofficial "Do Something New" for September: set up a cohosted foodie blog with a friend. If interested, check it out: Legal Eagles Who Lunch. We'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

Oh, that's so pretty!! Is beading a knitted project very difficult? I've seen it done on Knitty Gritty, but I've never tried it.

Those bead in that design with that yarn is just beautiful!!

Thanks for the comments, gang!

Tina - I have not found it "difficult" per se. Tiresome, however, in a way as there are 1500+ beads in this - they all had to be strung on at the beginning and then pushed down throughout the project. However, I really like the look of the scarf and so this compensates for the bother. The Autumn 2007 Knitscene has an article about working with beads if you are interested... this may not have been the project to start off with, is all!

Hope to have it done by tomorrow (Saturday).
