Socks

For October I am going to make a real pair of socks. This pattern is No Sweat Socks from No Sheep For You. It only took me 4 days to get the first one completed but now I just need to find the motivation to finish the second one. Why is it so difficult to think about starting another one??? The pattern is very simple and I have learned a few things already. My ribbing is loose so if I ever do another pair, I will decrease my needle size for that part of the pattern. Is that a valid and workable solution? I am using DPNs. The yarn is Adriafil Knitcol and the colors are a bit garish but fun nonetheless. I haven't blocked it yet either so it's still creased and puckered in some areas. I will welcome any constructive criticism or tips.
I am having such a great time with this KAL. Thank you so much!

Good going! Looking great. You may be suffering the dread Second Sock Syndrome (I just overcame my recent bout with Second Sleeve Syndrome). But you will feel great when you do finish the second one ;-)

Great job on the sock!! Hey, I like the colors, think they're kinda snazzy!!

This looks great! I'm trying to muster up the courage to cast on my first sock... so think how lucky you are to have that step over with. :)

And Kristina: I am also suffering from second sleeve syndrome.

Yea!!! Another sock devotee--pretty soon the sockinistas wil RULE the world (IF we can ever get to the 2nd sock). The colors are great there are no garish colors for hand-knit sock wonders.

Gorgeous colourway - I totally *LOVE* that! You know, all these sock knitters lately and with the Socktoberfest pool on flickr going on I may actually drool over sock yarns and colourways (no kidding!).

Hope you cast on right away! It's a lovely pattern - best of luck!

As for the ribbing, yes, you can cast on w/ a size smaller needle for the effect you are looking for. Give it a try, and let us know how it works out!
