Finally, my first shawl ever is finished! For the first time I have knitted from a pattern with a diagram and it has taken a looong time! But thank's to this KAL I managed to pull myself together and complete it. It has actually been finished for a week or so, but I thought it looked a bit dull, and after I had been watching it for a while I frogged(is that the right word?) some rounds and casted off much more loosely. Then it got a "collar", and now I am much more satisfied with it. By the way: is it ok if I change my October post to mittens instead of socks?? I have ordered a pattern of some lovely mittens, and I have never knitted mittens before...
Now it is off to start the September project; learn how to do shadow knitting - I am SO looking forward to it!

Nice job on the shawl, and I like the colors!
You can always feel free to change around which project you do for the different months. I joined a fun mitten KAL last year when I did my first pair of them and I really like knitting them up. I made mittens for my parents and grandparents last Christmas, and whipped up four pairs this past July.
And yep, you used the word "frogged" correctly! I didn't know what in the world people were talking about the first few times I saw that word used about knitting until somebody filled me in. When you mess up knitting, you have to "rip it, rip it", like the sound a frog makes! LOL (Okay, I'm sorry that I'm so easily amused and have a warped sense of humor!!)
Well I think my humor is just as warped.. I think that was an extreme funny explanation haha - rip it, rip it - yes I can hear the frog! And I think I am the only one in Norway that know why it is called frogged!
Lovely shawl, especially the colors!
Great job! You not only finished it, but went ahead and made it into what you wanted it to be even though it meant frogging a bit. Rock on.
Thank you Stitch-ay Woman, now I feel even more proud and satisfied!
That is so pretty, isn't it fun to take a pattern and turn it into exactly what you want?
The shawl is very beautiful!!! Great job!! =)
Kisses, Claudia
Wow, that is really lovely! You continue to amaze me. The colours are truly beautiful.
Somewhere on my ever-growing list is to knit a shawl but I'm not exactly sure where it is on that list. LOL!
Wonderful job!
Thank you everyone for all your nice comments!
